what is ‘cute case club’?
Hi! I’m Annie, the owner of 'cutecaseclub'. I’ve always been into decoden phone cases and started creating my own during the 2020 lockdown.
'Cutecaseclub' is inspired by the decoden style—'deco' stands for decorated, and 'den' is short for 'denwa,' which means 'phone' in Japanese.
I named it 'cutecaseclub' because I want everyone who uses my cases or accessories to feel like they’re part of a 'club' or 'collective' that embraces their unique style and identity 🫶
design sketches
the design process starts off with initial sketches of how toppings will sit on the phone case and looking at the whole composition of the design. I like using markers to add colour to the designs.
clay toppings
the next step is to mould the toppings from Japanese clay using a variety of clay sculpting tools
final details
the final step is adding the colouring using acrylic paints and paintbrushes and then sealing everything off with either a gloss or a matte sheen
